SILVER LAKES – Glencoe’s Lauren Cole shot 43 on the Mindbreaker 9 at Silver Lakes for medalist honors and Hokes Bluff won the team prize in a three-team match Thursday at Silver Lakes.
Hokes Bluff shot 183 and beat Springville by 18 strokes. Amber Bigelow shot the Lady Eagles’ low round (56), while Lana James (65) was low for Springville.
HOKES BLUFF (183): Amber Bigelow 56, Mazin Lowe 65, Abagail Reeves 62.
SPRINGVILLE (201): Katie Lesley 70, Abbie Lee 67, Lana James 65, Hannah Bishop 69, Jordan Murphree 70, JoAnna Murphree 72.
GLENCOE (NA): Lauren Cole 43, Camryn Blackwell 64.
Watching the weather: The Glencoe Invitational, a two-day boys tournament that has White Plains and Donoho in the field, is underway at Silver Lakes. Due to the chance of bad weather, the tournament will move to an 8 a.m. shotgun Saturday with foursomes on the Mindbreaker/Heartbreaker rotation
