ALBERTVILLE — Ohatchee’s Kendall Poe achieved a career milestone at the East Regional softball tournament Monday.

The Indians opened regional play with an 11-2 victory over Hanceville, giving Poe her 200th career victory.

“It always great to win ball games, but it’s even sweeter they have all been at Ohatchee,” Poe said. “I haven’t won a single one of those games though. The players have won those and I’m glad I just had the opportunity to be over in the dugout to watch it.

“I can’t wait for the next 100 on the Creekbank. I’ve been blessed to have some really great ball players who just make the coaches look good!”

AHSAA regional tournaments started Monday at four sites and will continue through Thursday. Most area teams are playing in the East Regional at Sand Mountain Park. Area teams aligned south play in the Central Regional at Montgomery’s Lagoon Park test….
